Livsvitenskapbygget

Norway
Oslo

As part of the construction of the Livsvitenskapsbygget in Oslo, Norway, a small number of Comansa tower cranes were deployed on site, all fully equipped with AMCS anti-collision systems. Also known as the Life Science Building, this facility is set to become Norway’s largest university research and education centre dedicated to life sciences. It will bring together researchers, students, and industry professionals in an interdisciplinary environment focused on biology, medicine, chemistry, and technology.

The high density of lifting zones and the vertical organisation of the site required strict coordination of crane movements, made possible by the AMCS systems, which provide real-time detection and prevention of collision risks.

The Livsvitenskapsbygget is part of a national strategy to strengthen research capabilities and represents a major investment in Norway’s scientific and technological future.
