Nordmøre and Romsdal Regional Hospital

Norway
Molde

As part of the construction of the new Nordmøre and Romsdal Hospital (Sjukehuset Nordmøre og Romsdal, SNR) in Hjelset, Norway, three Wolffkran 8033 tower cranes were deployed to support the vertical development of this regional healthcare complex. All three cranes were equipped with our DCS 61-S anti-collision system, enabling real-time monitoring and collision prevention in a dense and evolving worksite environment. The site layout, the interaction between cranes, and the proximity of technical zones required precise coordination of lifting operations.

With nearly 58,000 m² of new construction and 5,000 m² of renovations, the project is now complete. It includes an emergency hospital for both somatic and psychiatric care in Hjelset, as well as a medical center in Kristiansund—both designed to improve healthcare quality and accessibility across the region

Thanks to DCS 61-S technology, lifting operations were carried out with a high level of safety, accuracy, and fluidity, contributing directly to the successful completion of this major healthcare project.
